Error when building app with Cordova Social Sharing plugin ("Failed to fetch package information")

#1

Hi!

So I’m willing to add a “share” button in my app, and I found Eddy Verbruggen’s Social Sharing plugin for PhoneGap that seems reliable and up-to-date.

I tried to include it in my AdHoc build by addling the following line in the Build service:

{"source":"https://github.com/EddyVerbruggen/SocialSharing-PhoneGap-Plugin.git"}

But the build fails with the following log:

Adding plugin from: https://github.com/EddyVerbruggen/SocialSharing-PhoneGap-Plugin.git
Failed to fetch package information for es6-promise-plugin

Any idea what’s going on?

I didn’t add anything in my app’s settings, should I?

Thanks a lot,

Arthur

I tried to include the “es6-promise-plugin” in two different ways:

I tried to fork the Social Sharing plugin on my own GitHub and edit this line in the “plugin.xml” file:
<dependency id="es6-promise-plugin"/>
became:
<dependency id="es6-promise-plugin" url="https://github.com/vstirbu/PromisesPlugin.git"/>
and then I included my Git instead of Eddy Verbruggen’s in the Build parameters.

I also tried to let Eddy Verbruggen’s Git in the Build parameters and before it I also included “es6-promise-plugin” like so:

{"source":"https://github.com/vstirbu/PromisesPlugin.git"},
{"source":"https://github.com/EddyVerbruggen/SocialSharing-PhoneGap-Plugin.git"}

In both cases the build fails with the following log:

Adding plugin from: https://github.com/EddyVerbruggen/SocialSharing-PhoneGap-Plugin.git
Does not appear to be an xcode project, no xcode project file in STAGING/client/modules/AGCordova

Any idea?

I’m having the same problem here:
Adding plugin from: https://github.com/EddyVerbruggen/SocialSharing-PhoneGap-Plugin.git
Failed to fetch package information for es6-promise-plugin

Has anybody been able to fix it?

@Andres_Angel @Arthur Guys I had problems with that one too… Im using this one without problems https://github.com/mdridley/cordova-plugin-social-message … I recommend you fork to prevent updates breaking your future builds
